About this product
A comprehensive methylated prenatal multivitamin formulated for women during pregnancy and up to three months after birth, with active folate, choline, iodine, gentle chelated iron and algae-derived vitamin D3.
- Active forms. Folate comes as L-methylfolate (500 µg) and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, with pyridoxal-5'-phosphate and riboflavin-5'-phosphate.
- Gentle chelated minerals. Iron (27 mg), zinc (13 mg) and copper (1.3 mg) are bisglycinate forms, chosen by the manufacturer to be kinder on the stomach.
- Sea and algae minerals. Aquamin supplies 250 mg calcium (from algae) and 100 mg magnesium (from seawater), alongside 15 µg vitamin D3 from algae.
- Pregnancy-focused authorised nutrients. Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, iron to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, and vitamin D to the normal function of the immune system.
- Vitamin A as beta-carotene, with choline. Vitamin A is supplied as beta-carotene rather than retinol, and each serving adds 80 mg choline as bitartrate.
- Good to know. Take 2 tablets daily with food, or split between morning and evening. Contains iron, which may be harmful to very young children if taken in excess; keep out of sight and reach. The 27 mg of iron may cause mild stomach upset in sensitive individuals. Seek advice first if you have a medical condition or take medication. Does not contain omega-3. Do not exceed the stated dose.
