Ateronon Heart+ by FutureYou Cambridge, known as the 'Tomato Pill', is a daily heart-health capsule. Each capsule contains 350 mg of patented LactoLycopene™ complex, providing 7 mg of lycopene. It also contains thiamin, vitamins B6 and B12, folic acid and selenium.
- LactoLycopene™. Lycopene, the red antioxidant pigment in tomatoes, combined with whey protein to improve absorption. The manufacturer cites a University of Cambridge study in which it raised blood lycopene levels by 60–100% within two months.
- Heart function. Thiamin (136% NRV) contributes to the normal function of the heart.
- Homocysteine. Vitamins B6 and B12 and folate contribute to normal homocysteine metabolism.
- Antioxidant support. Selenium contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
