ProBio 8+ by FutureYou Cambridge is a broad-spectrum live bacteria supplement in a daily powder sachet. Each sachet delivers 3 billion live cultures from eight strains of Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium and Enterococcus.

• Eight strains. Lactobacillus acidophilus W22, L. paracasei W20, L. plantarum W21, L. salivarius W24, L. lactis W19, Bifidobacterium lactis W51 and W52, and Enterococcus faecium W54.
• Probioact® technology. A blend of prebiotic fibres (FOS, inulin and maize dextrin), protein and minerals. The manufacturer states that it helps the bacteria survive the journey through the stomach and stay active in the gut.
• Why strains matter. Different probiotic strains can act in different ways, which is why this blend combines eight rather than relying on one.
• No fridge needed. Stable at room temperature, according to the manufacturer.
• How to take. Mix one sachet into 100 ml of water, milk or yoghurt once a day, preferably on an empty stomach. Don't mix it with fruit juice, fizzy drinks or hot drinks. Vegan, gluten free and lactose free. 28-day supply.
