About this product
Melts Pure Ashwagandha by Wellbeing Nutrition delivers KSM-66® ashwagandha in an Orange-flavoured oral strip that dissolves on the tongue. KSM-66® is a full-spectrum extract made only from the root of the ashwagandha plant (Withania somnifera). The manufacturer states that it is extracted without alcohol or synthetic solvents.
- KSM-66® root extract. The manufacturer states that the extract is standardised to 5% withanolides, the naturally occurring compounds used to measure ashwagandha's strength.
- A traditional Ayurvedic herb. Ashwagandha has been used for centuries in Ayurveda, India's traditional system of medicine.
- What research says. The US National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) reports that some ashwagandha preparations may help with stress and sleep. It adds that many of the studies were small and used different preparations.
- Suitable for most diets. Vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO, as stated by the manufacturer.
- Flexible routine. Take 1 to 2 strips a day, at any time. No water needed. Each pack holds 30 strips.
Good to know: Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Not recommended if you have a thyroid or autoimmune condition. Speak to a doctor first if you take medicines for diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid, seizures or sleep, or medicines that suppress the immune system. Rare cases of liver injury have been linked to ashwagandha supplements.
