Iron+ by FutureYou Cambridge is a gentle, natural iron supplement. Each capsule provides 14 mg of iron (100% NRV) from Ultimine™, a fermented iron made using koji (Aspergillus oryzae), a culture traditionally used in Asian cooking. It also contains 5 µg of methylcobalamin, an active form of vitamin B12 (200% NRV).

• Gentle on the stomach. The manufacturer cites a human study in the Journal of Nutrition that found iron absorption from Ultimine™ comparable to ferrous sulphate, with a slower release into the blood.
• Energy. Iron and vitamin B12 contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism. Iron also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
• Blood and oxygen. Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin and to normal oxygen transport in the body. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal red blood cell formation.
• Mind and immunity. Iron contributes to normal cognitive function and to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal psychological function.
• Suitable for plant-based diets. Vegan, gluten free and lactose free. Take one capsule a day, with or without food. The pack holds 28 capsules, a 28-day supply.
