About this product
Vitamin D+ by FutureYou Cambridge is a small, vegan-friendly softgel that provides 25 µg (1,000 IU) of vitamin D3, 500% NRV, in a single daily dose. According to the manufacturer, the vitamin D3 comes from pine oil and is delivered in sunflower seed oil, because vitamin D is fat-soluble.
- The sunshine vitamin. Your skin makes vitamin D3 when exposed to UVB sunlight. If you spend most of the day indoors or keep your skin covered, you may get less from the sun.
- Bones, teeth and muscles. Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus, normal blood calcium levels, and the maintenance of normal bones, teeth and muscle function.
- Immune support. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
- Plant-based softgel. The shell is made from modified starch and carrageenan rather than gelatine. Suitable for vegans; gluten and lactose free.
- Easy dose. Take one softgel a day, preferably with food. The pack holds 28 softgels, a 28-day supply. At 1,000 IU, the daily dose is well below the 4,000 IU (100 µg) daily maximum for adults that the manufacturer cites.
