Holland & Barrett Activated Charcoal provides 260 mg of activated charcoal powder in each capsule, or 1,560 mg across the recommended six capsules a day.

What activated charcoal is. Charcoal that has been processed to make it highly porous, giving it a very large surface area.
Simple formula. Activated charcoal powder in a gelatine capsule.
After meals. Take two capsules after meals, three times a day.
Daily amount. Six capsules provide 1,560 mg of activated charcoal.

Good to know: Activated charcoal can reduce the absorption of medicines and nutrients, so take it at least two hours apart from any medication or other supplements, and speak to a pharmacist if you take regular medicine. The capsule shell is bovine gelatine, so it isn't suitable for vegetarians. It may darken your stools; this is harmless.
