About this product

Holland & Barrett Effervescent Milk Thistle is a tropical-flavoured tablet that dissolves in water. Each tablet provides 100 mg of milk thistle seed extract (Silybum marianum), with chicory inulin.

Milk thistle. A flowering plant of the daisy family whose seeds have a long history of traditional use in European herbalism.
Chicory inulin. A plant fibre from chicory root, included in the formula.
No capsules to swallow. Dissolve one tablet in 200 ml of water for a fruity drink.
Suitable for most diets. Vegan and vegetarian.
Once a day. Take one tablet a day, preferably with a meal; no more than one a day. The tube holds 20 tablets.

Good to know: Not intended for anyone under 18. Milk thistle can cause allergic reactions in people sensitive to plants in the daisy family, such as ragweed, marigolds and chrysanthemums. If you have diabetes, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take any medication, speak to a doctor or pharmacist first. Contains sorbitol; excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.
